The Psychology Department at Curry College invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position that will begin fall 2019.
We are seeking candidates who have a Ph.D. in psychology from APA-accredited institutions and whose expertise is in experimental psychology as it pertains to the biological bases of behavior and mental processes (e.g., physiological/biological psychology and related areas). The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching both introductory level courses in psychology and upper levels courses (including research methods) in physiological/biological psychology, as well as be expected to use and maintain the instrumentation available in our psychology laboratory. Consistent with our strong commitment to teaching, learning, and advising, additional responsibilities will include curriculum development, learning outcomes assessment, and academic advising. Familiarity and experience with course management systems, such as Blackboard, is especially desirable. Prior experience teaching students with learning differences would be a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with outstanding teaching credentials and the potential for scholarship involving undergraduates.
Candidates must either hold a Ph.D. in Psychology from an APA-accredited institution or have completed their Ph.D. by August 2019.
Candidates must possess a strong commitment to teaching at both introductory level and upper level courses.
