The University of Chicago's Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Neuroscience is seeking a full-time, academically oriented Clinical Psychologist to join our faculty. Responsibilities will include the provision of assessments and brief, evidence-based interventions for adult patients in primary care, the maintenance of close communication with team members to inform a shared treatment plan, and the delivery of clinical and consultative services to primary care providers. The candidate will be involved in program development as a key member of a multidisciplinary team aiming to advance the reach and effectiveness of the integrated behavioral health program in primary care. The candidate will also provide clinical and didactic teaching related to primary care psychology for clinical psychology fellows, interns, and externs, will provide behavioral medicine training for internal medicine residents and other staff, and have the opportunity to be involved in other aspects of the clinical and didactic teaching of psychology trainees and psychiatry residents and fellows. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited university-based doctoral program, 2) have completed an internship at an APA-accredited site, 3) hold an Illinois license in Clinical Psychology, 4) have completed a postdoctoral fellowship in primary care psychology or clinical health, 5) have experience in Integrated Behavioral Health and working knowledge of behavioral medicine principles and evidence-based treatments for medical and psychiatric conditions, and 6) have competency in cognitive-behavior therapy, including third wave treatments and motivational enhancement.Experience with program development, clinical supervision, curriculum development, and the interdisciplinary education of medical learners is preferred. Interest and experience in scholarly endeavors, with the ability to initiate or join current research efforts within the multidisciplinary team, is also preferred.
