The Department of Psychology at Bridgewater State University offers a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Minor in Psychology, as well as a Master of Arts degree with a specialization in Clinical Psychology. A number of opportunities for increased engagement within the discipline of Psychology exist, including internships and practica, opportunities for gaining research experience via the department’s laboratory for faculty and student scholarship, the Honors Program in Psychology, Psi Chi, and the Psychology Club.
The department has a large subject pool and ample lab space including an eye tracker and two Biopacs but does not have animal facilities for animal research.
The Department of Psychology seeks qualified and committed Part Time Faculty for the 2018/2019 academic year, who are enthusiastic teachers and dedicated to working with undergraduates.
Specific course offerings for which Part Time Faculty are requested include Introductory Psychology and/or Research Methods.
Applicants should possess: - Ability to effectively teach in a close, collegial environment dedicated to the teaching-learning relationship. - Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity. - Ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning. - Provide quality teaching including related preparation and grading. - Provide class syllabi to students enrolled in classes and to the department office as requested. - Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required.
Courses may be offered on the main campus in Bridgewater or at satellite campuses in Attleboro and on Cape Cod.
Master’s degree in Psychology or related field.
Teaching experience preferred.
