Evaluate and integrate machine learning, intelligent and adaptive tutoring, mathematical models, and computational models of human behavior to improve the flexibility, efficiency, and effectiveness of team training, support the expansion of research environments for team and teams of team learning and assessment and provide routine testbed studies and data collection
-Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to get a security clearance.
-Master’s degree in General Psychology, Quantitative Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Test and Measurement, Training, Industrial or Organizational psychology, training or related field.
-5 years relevant experience (cooperative and/or internship experience included).
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience (cooperative and/or internship work included) working as researcher on multiple experiments, in a collaborative or team research environment, particularly interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Currently holds a security clearance.
Essential Functions and percent of time::
50% – Identify and demonstrate architectures and approaches that promote the development and integration of capabilities for activities such as:
synthetic agent development to support team training and management
integrating intelligent tutoring concepts and capabilities, applying architectures such as the Generalizable Intelligent Framework for Tutoring
linking with operational capabilities as the performance evaluation tracking system metrics development and warehouse system;
guiding mission planning and after action review and feedback; and performance support for developing and managing scenarios.
25% – Identify, develop, and evaluate strategies and approaches for team learning and training in these environments; implements and evaluate scenarios, syllabi and curricula for team learning and training; tailor methods and tools for applications in operationally relevant contexts and mission sets to support the research performed and the data gathered
25% – Support the development of new scenarios, syllabi, measurement, training management, after action review, and related methods for integrating and evaluating high fidelity simulation with live training, rehearsal, exercise, and operations for the purposes of research and data gathering
Special Contract terms and conditions of employment apply. Length of contract is one year, renewable, contingent upon funding.
