Southside Virginia Community College, a comprehensive community college, is seeking a dual-credentialed instructor with masterâs level coursework in Psychology and Sociology. The successful candidate must be committed to our mission to provide quality education to a diverse constituency. Responsibilities: Duties include teaching and student advising, including maintaining 10 hours of scheduled office time per week. Classes taught may be a combination of day, night and/or weekends and a combination of seated, online, or hybrid. Classes may be located on or off campus, possibly in local high schools, or in a correctional center for a total of 15 credit hours per semester across locations served by the college. Other duties include serving on committees, participating in professional activities, mentoring adjunct instructors, and may include program development and assessment.

About Southside Virginia Community College
Established in 1970, SVCC is one of the 23 colleges in the Virginia Community College System. The Christanna Campus near Alberta and the John H. Daniel Campus near Keysville serve ten counties and one city - the largest community college service region in the state. In 1985, SVCC opened the Southside Virginia Education Center. The college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Associate degrees.
