Hourly Rate: $15.00/hour with mileage reimbursement to data collection sites
Number of hours per week: Up to (but not to exceed) 14 hours per week
Length of appointment: Data collection will continue through the spring in sporadic weekly intervals. Preschool students will be evaluated in fall 2018 and spring 2019, with peak hours during these times.
Overview: This position is an hourly position with hours that ebb and flow with the needs of data collection for the IGDI-Esp-PM (Individual Growth and Development Indicators: Spanish Progress Monitoring) project through the Department of Educational Psychology. The position requires fluency in Spanish, the ability to work flexible daytime hours (max 14 hrs weekly), access to a car, and a clean background check.
The project IGDI-Esp-PM requires that data collectors travel to early childhood classrooms and use paper pencil flash cards and recording forms to assess students on new testing items in Spanish. The assessment measures are the early literacy IGDIs- including Picture Naming, First Sounds, Letter Naming, Expressive Verbs and Sound Identification. The measures are easy to deliver and record..
Once hired, all data collectors will complete a 3 hour training session on all assessments and fidelity procedures and are required to achieve 90% fidelity using the existing IGDI-Esp-PM fidelity of implementation forms before they are allowed to enter the classroom for live testing.
Data Collection and Data Entry (100%):
Travel to sites and collect data with preschool age children based on Child ID information provided by the data collection lead.
Document all scores. Scores are confirmed by the assessors and are automatically scored in the IPad device. All scoring are based on dichotomous scoring criteria listed as correct answers on their screen. There is no opportunity for subjective interpretation of student performance. Items are either incorrect or correct based on identified correct responses.
Transfer data each session by syncing the iPad device to save the data to the server.

Minimum High School Diploma
Experience with data collection
Spanish language fluency
Knowledge/Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of early literacy assessment or related assessment experience
Ability to work during school hours (approximately 9am-3pm? M-F)
