Posting Summary: The ideal candidate will be a culturally competent, social justice-oriented, and student-centered Counseling or Clinical Psychologist who will work as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychology with a team of faculty focusing on our M.S. and APA-accredited Ph.D. programs in Counseling Psychology.
Interest in coordination of practicum training and teaching courses in counseling theory and/or psychological assessment is strongly preferred. A specialization in either substance abuse or behavior analysis, and an interest in developing a summer certificate program in that area is desirable, but individuals with any area of expertise are encouraged to apply as long as their work fits within our program's social justice emphasis.
A demonstrated research interest and/or experience in diverse, marginalized, or underrepresented populations is preferred. Teaching responsibilities will primarily include graduate courses in counseling psychology, but applicants should also indicate an enthusiasm for teaching undergraduate psychology courses. Other responsibilities include supervision of theses and dissertations, and service involvement at the department, college, university, professional, and public levels.
