Responsibilities: We are seeking a person who will fit with the needs of the department, which could include teaching Introductory Psychology, History of Psychology, Research Methods, and other courses to be negotiated. Other responsibilities include: 1) supervising individual student projects, 2) advising undergraduates, and 3) providing service to the psychology discipline and to the campus. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual with a demonstrated interest in the liberal arts who will engage with our students inside and outside of the classroom. UMM emphasizes close student-faculty relationships and faculty-directed student research. An active research program is expected, and research collaboration with undergraduate students is highly valued.
The University of Minnesota Morris (UMM) Division of Social Science seeks to fill an Assistant Professor tenure-track position in Biological Psychology. We are looking for someone to teach an annual course load of 20 credits (typically 5 classes), which will include some of the following courses: Biological Psychology, Comparative Psychology, Capstone Seminar, and other courses consistent with the candidate’s expertise. The required qualifications are the following: ABD required (appointment as Instructor), Ph.D. in Psychology or closely related field preferred (appointment as Assistant Professor).
Salary and teaching load is competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
