Behavioral Health Therapist - Behavioral Medicine & Psychiatry 09917
The West Virginia University Department of Behavioral Medicine & Psychiatry is seeking applications for a part-time Behavioral Health Therapist. This position is responsible for counseling and assisting employees with issues related to personal well-being and job-related performance. Evaluates and recommends outside treatment and counseling.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Assess behavioral health urgency crisis
Provide brief intake assessment
Brief counseling or therapy
Referral and linking to community providers.
Complete and maintain records.
Master's degree in Social Work or counseling, and at least a provisional license in WV.
One ( 1) year experience in GAD, mental health, counseling, case management
Excellent phone and communications skills
Knowledge of HIPPA and ability to maintain confidential information
Basic computer skills
Complex problem solving may be required.
Ability to carry out instructions in written, spoken or diagram form.
LGSW or provisional LPC considered
LICSW, LPC preferred
