The Counseling Center at the University of New Haven is seeking an experienced licensed clinician (4-6 years post-licensure) to join our staff. This is a full-time (35 hour) 12-month position beginning this Fall. Qualifications include familiarity, motivation, and experience working with college-age students, strong generalist skills, and perhaps a specific area of expertise that you could bring to our staff. While we do not limit the number of sessions, we strongly value clinicians skilled enough to work from an intensive, short-term or time-limited frame.
The ideal candidate will have these skills along with an ability to play a supervision role with trainees, availability for occasional after-hours outreach, interest in promoting the counseling center through involvement with campus stakeholders and committees, and a team focus. Group therapy experience is a plus.
We require a terminal degree in one of the counseling disciplines (PhD, MSW, LPC) and current, active licensure in the state of Connecticut.
Internal Number: 18-43A Staff Clinician
