The University of Dayton Department of Counselor Education and Human Services is seeking applications for a full-time 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor in School Psychology beginning August 16, 2019.
School Psychology faculty are responsible for a NASP approved Ed.S. program. The department and UD offer a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will: 1) teach graduate courses in school psychology; 2) actively work on a scholarly research agenda including publications and presentations; 3) recruit, advise, and mentor graduate students; 4) direct masters thesis projects; 5) provide service to the program, department, university, community, and profession; and 6) engage with faculty and students in a manner that highlights professionalism and collegiality.

•A doctoral degree in school psychology; •Two years of university teaching experience; •Two years of experience as a school psychologist in a K-12 setting; •Demonstrated record of scholarship in school psychology; •Licensed as a school psychologist through a state department of education; •Excellent written communication skills.
•Licensed as a school psychologist through the Ohio Department of Education. •Experience teaching in a NASP-approved school psychology graduate program; •Active membership in professional organizations; •Commitment to a scientist-practitioner model of training and practice; •Potential to mentor students in both quantitative and qualitative research; •Successful experience working collaboratively with internal and external constituents; •Excellent presentation skills; •Successful experience working with people from diverse backgrounds; •Interest in designing and/or delivering online learning experiences; •Nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP) credential; •Understanding of graduate education in a mission-based institution; •Affinity for the values central to Marianist education, including diversity and social justice; and •Effective interpersonal communication skills.
