The Department of Psychology invites applications for a three-year, non-tenure track position as visiting assistant professor of clinical/counseling psychology for August 2019. The department has an undergraduate program in psychology, an undergraduate program in neuroscience, and an MPCAC-accredited master’s program in clinical/counseling psychology. Applicants must have a firm commitment to teaching, training, and mentoring students.
Responsibilities: The position’s responsibilities are (a) teaching graduate courses in the master’s program in clinical psychology, and (b) teaching undergraduate courses in one’s areas of competency (e.g., clinical, personality, social, introduction to psychology, or introduction to behavioral neuroscience). Mentoring student research and participating in service activities are encouraged but not required.
Qualifications: Applicants should have a PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited clinical or counseling program and be eligible for licensure in Kentucky. Doctoral candidates from an APA-accredited clinical or counseling program will be considered, if there is sufficient evidence that the doctorate could be completed within one year of appointment to the position.
