The St. Cloud State University (SCSU) Department of Psychology seeks applicants for a one year sabbatical replacement (fixed-term) position with specialization in lifespan developmental psychology. The successful candidate must be prepared to teach Lifespan Developmental Psychology and at least two of the following courses: Child Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Adult Development and Aging, and Methodology.
The successful candidate will also assist in facilitating student development and advising, scholarship, and departmental committee work as well as demonstrate the ability to: 1) teach and/or perform assignment effectively; 2) conduct scholarly achievement or research; 3) continue preparation and study in discipline; 4) contribute to student growth and development; and 5) provide service to the university and community. Ph.D. in psychology or human growth and development with a specialization in developmental psychology from an accredited university prior to first date of employment.
College-level teaching experience in psychology with a record of demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
Ability to teach large section lifespan developmental psychology classes.
Ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Ability to teach online courses with a record of demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
Experience mentoring and working with undergraduate students on research.
