The Department of Psychology at Hobart and William Smith Colleges invites applicants for a tenure track faculty position in Personality Psychology and/or Individual Differences to begin July 1, 2019. The position is at the Assistant Professor level with a five course teaching load per academic year. We seek to hire a skilled and dedicated teacher-scholar who can teach core and research courses in Personality Psychology and/or Individual Differences, an advanced seminar in an area of specialty, and at least one additional course from among the following: Introductory Psychology, Statistics and Research Methods, or a General Education course.
All areas of specialization in Personality and/or Individual Differences will be considered; applications from individuals who address issues of ethnic diversity in their teaching or research, are interested in contributing to the Colleges' interdisciplinary programs, and can serve as role models for students from diverse ethnic backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.
Candidates should have or be near completion of the Ph.D. and be committed to teaching and developing an active research program at a small, residential, liberal arts institution.
